I’ve seen men, men born as guitars
But desire to sound like pianos
I’ve seen women, women born harps
But desire to sound like trumpets
I’ve seen friends, friends born as tambourines
But desiring to sound like cymbals
They all were born to be and to make a distinct sound
But they’ve not understood who they are nor who they were meant to be
So they end up becoming cheap copies of other originals
To copy and try to live like another man is possible to us as humans
But how can a guitar sound like a piano, or a piano sound like a guitar
Yes, even an electric resembles an acoustic from afar
The sound from each is still distinct
If we then let these earthly things teach us the spiritual
You’ll have to understand what instrument you really are
For only then will you stop comparing yourself to another
Only then will you stop competing with another
How can a flute determine to be as big as a set of drums?
It will only be crushed by the loud device
Understand that a flute is sweet and beautiful in its own way
And so are the drums for a specific purpose as well
Strife comes when a harmonica and a saxophone ask themselves who was blown better
A limousine can’t ask a formula one car which goes faster! And a formula one car can’t ask its counterpart who is more luxurious
Purposes! Each of us bears a purpose that differs distinctly from another’s
So better get to understood what instrument you are and which kind of music you were designed to make
Understand what car you are and work on being who you were designed to be
This will enable you to stick to what you were made to be and not to cease striving to be an accordion version having a violin on it
How can it be played!
Each of us was made to declare a specific sound
FULFILMENT is when each one of us discovers what it is
Lest you discover it when all your strings have snapped, and you can’t be used anymore
Pretty much like those movies where people grow up torturing one another
Only to discover that they were related by blood, or they were the long lost family each searched for all their lives, but one of them has just had their lifeline flatten and the beeping sound of the machine increase its sequency
Don’t waste who you are …
Like they say, life is too short
Understand that the glory of the instrument you are isn’t greater than a completely different instrument. You carry your own glory and it can only increase according to the degree with which you are able to create extra chords or instrumentals.
After discovering who you are, and the melody you play, you can then comfortably play along with other instruments which have as well embraced the uniqueness of their purposes to create a sweet harmony!
But don’t forget, that the universe’s ears long, and have placed a demand, to hear the distinction of your sound! There’s a symphony that only you can exude. There’s an energy only the sun can give. There’s a thing only you can do. You’re distinct. You’re peculiar. Let your sound ring out, and reverberate!

1 Corinthians 14:7-8 Even things without life, whether flute or harp, when they make a sound, unless they make a distinction in the sounds, how will it be known what is piped or played? For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle?

1 Corinthians 15:41 The sun has one kind of glory, while the moon and stars each have another kind. And even the stars differ from each other in their glory.
