In the last days, it was prophesied that evil would increase. A few days ago, I saw a disheartening recommendation of a video on YouTube. Lil Nas X just released a video, and the thumbnail clearly showed that the men dancing were nude—completely.

Years ago, when Cardi B had just come on the scene, her videos weren’t that indecent. When Lil Nas came on the scene with Old Town Road in 2018, he equally was decent & clean. Lo & behold, both of these artists’ latest videos are immoral a couple of years down. I was ALARMED when my 20 and 16 or so year old cousins told me they had just watched the videos.
Dear fans, I’m sorry. Wait—I’m not!
That won’t be a big deal if you find your 8 year old scrolling through YouTube and landing on their videos.
The blurring put for the offending parts doesn’t do any good. Many sites release the unblurred videos.
The videos only raise curiosity in many’s minds as they are filled with sexually arousing motives… Pure lewdness I say, mingled with lasciviousness and more profanity ingredients.
Sometimes, I don’t blame God for having created man and woman naked. Because it looks like they are headed back in that same state. The only difference is, the world has deemed personal nakedness not to be a public state of affair, and Adam & Eve’s nakedness was innocent like a child’s, not provoking any perversion or animosity.
Explicitness is on the lose in these videos. The ratio could be one in two/three. Vulgar language is being used in songs, and then our children while in this lockdown, having not creative enough minds, resort to the TV, learning random lyrics having ‘f’ words.
How did we get here? I ask myself!
It occurred to me, that the revealer of hearts (and agendas/motives) is money. When super stars hit the scene, there’s that one hit that makes them go viral. Soon they get record deals and more funding for their music, or more sales. Everything goes up due to the profits; including the choice to do whatever the musician wills.
A great saying goes, ‘Where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.’ This is evident enough to show that by the time musicians are injecting a lot of money in their music videos—whatever theme the video takes—is simply manifesting fruit of whatever has been growing in their hearts; be it weeds or good fruit.
Money (the treasure) is simply fuel, an amplifier of whatever wickedness or righteousness is stored in one’s heart just like the example I’ve already stated.
This is when I turn the lights on you; if you received 10 billion US dollars now—all truly yours—what would you do?
Take revenge on all those who said you’d never make it? Buy a car and go drive it through a puddle of dirty water splashing it on your haters? Pay your ex a visit?
Some of you are giddy with the thought; thinking of all the good you’d do— which’s not a bad thing—but even the musicians making profane videos have a good side.
Here’s when I re-echo, that goodness is not necessarily godliness. I believe godliness with money would pertain, say, tithing. If we say goodness was godliness, that would mean every good person would tithe. And mind you, the tithe is God’s money, and not yours.
If indeed then, we hand our tithes back to God, we are being godly and living the truth, that since our treasure is with the Lord, then that’s where our hearts are. And indeed if our hearts are with the Lord, there’s a level of wickedness we can’t swim in.
Heck, wickedness would be far from us, by the Lord’s doing Himself as He’d be holding our hearts in His hands, turning them whichever way He wills.
In most cases, men who are caught cheating on their wives are guilty of spending extra money on the other mistress.
If a man had taken all that money & invested it still in his true wife, the diversion could not have happened. The money would have dictated the man’s heart’s abiding with her.
Being good with money isn’t good enough. The spirit of mammon has the power to destroy humans even if it is man who created money as a medium of exchange.
Human philosophies deny a need for God. When the Greek in the times of Socrates went that direction, it was called the Dark Ages. Why? God’s voice was never recorded. It’s titled so because He went silent as many humans resorted to their own reasonings.
If a creature is cut off from its creator, it’s probable that it might rejoice at its freedom, but pride will keep it away from its creator, and so, it’ll drift away in ignorance, trying to search for its purpose. And if it doesn’t prosper, it might just create its own purpose—but created purpose usually turns out to be pleasure rooted in carnality—and when lots of money is behind, hell breaks loose.
Human reasoning is being depended on much today. It’s ungodly counsel. Forms of evil are being endowed as human rights. Talk against it and they’ll say ‘look at your own sin’. Don’t talk against it and God will give you unrest.
What I’m trying to say?
How you handle your money in itself can dictate the path your life will go. Remember where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. If your heart beats for imperialism, or for racism, or for aristocracy or for secularism, or for feminism, or patriotism, or evangelism then when you get the 10 billion dollars as I had said, you’d drive any of those agendas.
If your heart beats for philanthropy, or geology or botany, or theology, or climatology, you’ll find yourself going that way also.
The tides turn if you desire to take any of these aspects so desperately and yet you have no money. What will happen is you might sprout the love for money, and yet it is the root of all evil (though money it self isn’t)
Then for those who have received not just 10 billion, but a thousand times more, things even get more complicated. Goodness inspired by humanity isn’t enough like I already said. Godliness is. Goodness inspired by humanity isn’t pure.
A RICH white master could have decided to stop whipping a black slave. That in another white man’s eyes would seem good, but the black would still be A SLAVE.
Godliness on the other hand makes a man’s heart flow with the goodness inspired by God (the Holy Spirit) Himself without effort. In this case it would be freeing the black slave and paying them all the years they’ve been working!
Reading this, I’m sure I lost you somewhere. But let your take-homes be;
• Money is a revealer of hearts
• Money is an amplifier of causes
• Where your money is, there your heart will be
• It isn’t enough to be good with money, but to be godly with it
So, next time you receive 10 billion, hope you’ll know what to do!
Great post, I was saddened when watching the BET awards this year for the first time in awhile. The ladies were way to revealing with their outfits. Thanks for sharing.

We all were saddened sis. And people forget that we are watching as families. Then suddenly we hasten to change channels as we are watching with our little siblings…😤😤
