Secret Romancer

When the enemies come arunning

When the jailer comes pursuing

Who you turn to? Me!

Who you always call? Me!

When the supply goes lacking

When the deadlines come choking

Who you turn to? Me!

Who you always call? Me!

Secret Romancer

You love me in the dark

When the lights come on

You say we are mere friends

When Colossal bangs down walls

When the robber comes stealing

Who you cry to? Me!

Who you scream to? Me!

When all your friends go skipping

When your world goes vacating

Who you gonna call? Who you gonna call?

Secret Romancer

You love me in the dark

When the lights come on

You say we are mere friends

Secret Romancer

You love me behind walls

When nobody is watching

I have outgrown the friend zone

Don’t expect intimacy without covenant!

Don’t expect intimacy without covenant!

Don’t expect intimacy without covenant!

I won’t be a husband to a girlfriend!

(Above is a Song by God)

Interpretation: Most of us remember God in the hard times. We expect a reward worthy of an intimate friend but we are not willing to get into that covenant with Him. We expect Him to do things a husband would for a wife, and yet every time He proposes marriage, we are not willing to get that close in a relationship with Him.

In the same way, sadly, there are things you’ll never experience until you fully yield to Him, and have Him as the highest lover of your soul. There are things a husband does for their wife, that they can’t easily do for their ‘mere’ friends.
