Many Niles 2

Recently, while at home, a cousin used one of my precious body sprays. The whole house filled with a fragrance I was familiar with, to only emanate from me.

“Who used my spray? Who wants to smell like me?” I got frantic.

God quickly reminded me that I was a river, and rivers are not selfish. They don’t hold onto their waters. They in fact flood sometimes as if to say, ‘If you won’t take me, I will come to you…’

Rivers have an unlimited source. If they were selfish, this would imply that their source would run out, and that’s impossible since we’ve never seen the Nile ever run out in all its more than 6000 years of existence.

If Christ indeed says rivers—and not just a river—will flow out of you, that means you can’t help it but be generous. For there’s so much more, so much more, from where the supply springs forth!

If rivers come out of you, you can’t hoard! You instead scatter abroad, and yet increase (Prov 11:24) You keep giving, and instead gain more water.

The Nile provides electricity & irrigation water to millions of people. Not at once does she cry about her waters being spent!

Walk with this mentality today. You will never run out! You can never! Just like L.Victoria will never run out, your source—God—can never!

I’ll repeat that for emphasis; you will never run out! You can never! You will never dry out. The paradox is; as God is your source (Victoria), many others call you their source (the Nile)!

Your cup overflows!

Your paths drop with abundance!

You shall never lack or run dry!

  1. Thats a true test of generosity i always say its generous to give when you dont have in abundance yet. Being a river requires faith whereby even tho it doesn’t look like it RN one day my cup will overflow in the physical. Thanks for this.
