1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Notice, there’s no full stop in this text though they are two separate verses. The first beseeches you. And the next tells you how to implement the beseeching.
The first instructs you, and gives you the reward for obeying the instruction, then the next tells you how to carry out the instruction.
Being humble to God according to this portion, is by casting all your cares (your anxieties, worries, concerns) upon Him.
Bottom line is; if you haven’t cast your cares upon God — trying to have them all figured out in your strength — you are being PROUD! And pride is sin…
