No weapon forged against You…

Proverbs 11:3-6 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in [their own] naughtiness.

Proverbs 11:8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead (walks straight into trouble)

I’m reminded of Esther’s story. Haman wanted all Jews dead. Mordecai feared not. The Jews prayed & fasted. The king was tricked to issue a permit to kill all of them. Gallows were made to hang them. But, the very thing Haman wanted to betide them, instead befell him and all his family. Plot twist!

Proverbs 11:18-19 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness [shall be] a sure reward. As righteousness [tendeth] to life: so he that pursueth evil [pursueth it] to his own death.

I’m reminded of Daniel’s story. Some haters ensure that Darius decrees a rule against prayer. Daniel is caught red-handed in earnest prayer. He’s thrown into the den of lions. They instead became his pets. Their dumbness fueled their hunger. Darius, in anger throws the men who accused Daniel in the same den just as soon as Daniel is got out. When his enemies were thrown in, the lions were no longer dumb!

Notice the pattern here. Yes, the weapons may be forged against you, but they’ll not prosper! They’ll turn against your accusers, and destroy them. You only need to hold your peace and God shall fight for you!

You shall not die! No evil shall befall you. Many may be your afflictions but the Lord will deliver you from them all.

Proverbs 11:27 He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, But trouble will come to him who seeks [evil.]

Your righteousness will guarantee your delivery. And I’m glad it’s not just yours, but God’s!

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

(An ancient carving of Haman and some of his sons on gallows—pretty much a depiction of how your enemies are about to suffer; death by the very thing they made to destroy you)
