Tame

I was reading this blog from 2nd January this year, and oh I was blessed by it one more time. It is about an 8 minute read so for you to understand it and this article, you need to avail the time.

After re-reading it last night, and musing on about it today, I just recalled Adam in the garden and how time is a gift to all of us, daily.

In that blog, Romholioth, which is a fictional name for 2020, was represented as a man. He was leaving, but he said, he’s purpose was to ensure that the previous moment is followed by the next.

He lamented how men blamed him, as if he was responsible for the creation of covid. Regardless, as he left he gave me advice. He said it’s us to name the years. His advice was in essence, to tame the year, tame the season, tame the day everyday.

When Romholoneth (2021) arrived, and asked what I’d call him, I immediately crowned him with goodness (Psa 65:11). I called him all those good things God has taught me how.

Adam in the same way, was given all animals to name. The Greek rendering of that text says he gave each one of them a characteristic. Maybe, to the lions he told them they’d roar. And the hippos he told to enjoy the waters.

Beyond the meaning of taming today, which is ‘to adapt to live with humans’ another synonym is ‘to subdue’. God had commanded humans to have dominion over everything on earth, even to subdue everything in it (Gen 1:28)

To subdue is to bring under the control of…

Have you brought time under your control? Have you tamed it? Yes 2021 seems to be shaking…but the constant is all of us are experiencing the time 2021. What I have learnt is, if you tamed 2021, the time of 2021 may happen to everyone (Ecc 9:11) but will react differently to you! Somehow, its effects will go over and pass you. Expect what you desire in it! (Proverbs 10:24 The nightmares of the wicked come true; what the good people desire, they get.)

Maybe a thousand could be falling and ten thousand the same. But when time gets to be experienced by you in the realm of 2021, it won’t bring the kajanja or impose its effects that everyone else is facing. It will react differently if you’ve tamed it.

If you’ve said joy would be your portion, that you’ll always be joyful, when sadness comes being faced by everyone else, time will hinder that sadness that came by effect of it not to come to your door.

‘That one doesn’t have room for you’, time will tell sadness, and like the angel of death passed over the Israelites’ houses, sadness will zoom away.

Time is just one dimension that can be tamed. You can tame that job of yours too! Call it what you want it to be. Either it’ll conform to the standard of your moulding, or the kind of job you’re speaking will create itself and come serve you.

Where you stay can be tamed. Your life can be tamed. What you’d like to live like can be manifested, and this is not exclusive to ‘deep men’ only. This is an Adamic trait, in that even the non-born again live in its experience.

Have you heard of those people who say, ‘I can’t fall sick’, ‘I can never be broke’, they may not know the scriptures, but they carry a certain wisdom. They walk in a grace that was availed to Adam from the very first days of the earth.

So…be determined to speak the kind of life you’d want to experience from here on out, and whether you see contrary or not, convince your mind to expect nothing less than the standards of taming you’ve set.

For I have come to realize, things have minds, and ears, to obey how they ought to behave toward you, just like the fig tree to Jesus.

Thus, today, decide that you’ll be in good health, that good things will come your way, that you’ll be promoted, that your family will be far from evil, that your marriage shall be admirable, that your life will be that good life!

Romans 4:17b … Even God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
