Proverbs 11:5 The righteousness of the PERFECT shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
All this worldly teaching that there’s no one perfect is nonsensical. If the bible says ‘of the perfect’ then that means ‘perfect people’ exist. The problem could be, who describes your ‘perfect’
The psalmist in 138, verse 8 said the Lord would (will) perfect that which concerns him. He was prophesying of a specific event at a specific time where the perfection would manifest. It was a one time event. If he had said ‘the Lord SHALL perfect me’, that would have meant that this perfection was going to keep happening for him and not only once…
So David, Jesus, You!
This perfection already manifested for you; that is if you believed and accepted Jesus into your heart. If you still claim sinnership and not saintship then you can by all means continue wallowing in your imperfection. But don’t come here telling nobody about how no one perfect exists.
For David, it was in the future. For you, it’s in the past!
God’s definition of perfection is receiving eternal life (John 3:16, 17:3) If you say you’re not perfect then He can’t be one with you (1 Cor 6:17)…
On the otherhand, maybe you’re perfect and you just didn’t know! Now that you do, I beg, please stop this unnecessary ignorant chatter. Do you want to live a long life? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from deceit (Psalm 34:12-13)
There’s perfection. It is by faith and not achieved when we get to heaven! David chose to see the perfection by faith. You too have to believe that this perfection happened 2000 years ago in Christ, and that you are whole, complete (Col 2:10) and having no flaw (shortcoming, sin, spot, disease, disadvantage, disorder, poverty) in you!
Song of Solomon 4:7 Thou [art] all fair, my love; [there is] no spot in thee.
Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].
If you hold onto your imperfection, you won’t be part of the bride. As you’ve noticed she’s supposed to be ‘without spot’.
Unlearn the worldly teaching, be not carnally minded (Rom 8:6) and align to the perfection of you that Christ died for. If you don’t, you reject the gift he offered through unbelief, and that my friend, is what qualifies you for a VIP seat in hell.
Grace & peace be multiplied to you!
