Meat & Mammon

This is a teaching about how your physical finances can provoke an increase in your spiritual revelation and understanding.

In April 2019, Someone walked up to me amidst prayer and said that God had told me not to despise myself. I wondered what that meant. Later, an email from the senior pastor about an opportunity to buy land for expansion of the church I received.

“All we need is 600 people bringing 1 million each, and I consider you to be one of them.”

Ayaya!

I laughed! Me? One million? How? Where?

Then that word returned; do not despise yourself…

I replied with a yes to the email, but with fear and trembling 😂

Long story, after several deposits, by 30th August, the one million had been cleared before the deadline of 31st. I was so happy. Beyond that however, I noticed an increase in revelation whenever I opened my bible. Scriptures were jumping at me. The Word demystifying itself before me. Parts that previously were hard to chew were easy food. I was so excited!

Late last year halfway September, after hearing stories of how William Colgate, Rick Warren increased their tithing percentages occasionally, God led me to increase my tithe by another 10%.

Now, what had happened in 2019 was nothing compared to the light that shoved out my bible after making that decision! I’ve seen His Word skating down the street to minister to me as soon as the need of it arises. That’s not something I had experienced before.

For example; someone could accidentally wrong me, and then the Word I could hear say, ‘Great peace you have…nothing shall offend you’ (Psalm 119:165). He shows up in the nick of time, before offense manifested, and dealt with it immediately. Same with lack and whatsoever.

By now you should have noticed a pattern that I began with; ‘Your physical finances can provoke an increase in your spiritual revelation and understanding.’ Allow me go deeper;

Malachi 3:10 says ‘Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be MEAT in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].’

We realize that ‘mine house’ is ‘my temple’. In the new testament, Paul tells us what the temple is.

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19)

You, therefore, are the house God is saying should have the MEAT.

But what is this meat?

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, [even] as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with MEAT: for hitherto ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able. (1 Corinthians 3:1-2)

NKJV puts it this way; And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual [people] but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able [to receive it,] and even now you are still not able;

Meat is for spiritual matures, and not for babes which means babies. As you’ve noticed many babies haven’t developed teeth to chew hard stuff. In a similar manner, meat are those scriptures that seem complicated and complex and contradictory for any believer!

Meat is when you read Song of Solomon and all you see is Christ and the Church. Milk was when we were told to keep away from that book at a tender age, for it was the most unholiest book in the bible, as our teachers used to say, that it talked about sex and stuff…

Qwegamba…. They were right and wrong somehow. Howbeit, I find it now one of the deepest books of the Bible. Mystery upon mystery hidden, and unable to be chewed by those on milk!

Milk is cheap to get, you can even get it without cost;

Isaiah 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath NO money (mammon); come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

The bible didn’t say come buy MEAT without money…

If you think you’ll buy it without a cost, you are wrong! This is how your finances contribute to your being able to rightly divide these ‘hard’ truths on the word! Tithe was a form of generosity, and when I increased it, my revelation also did.

As we conclude, let’s recall the first verse ‘so that there’ll be meat in my house’. Meat being in your house means you’re able to chew it, which following closely, means you are able to eat the ‘hard, complex’ truths of the Word.

What seems complicated to many others is easily understood by you. Those under you can’t lack revelation. By you, they will learn, and it’ll be imparted. You’ll break down whichever topic they’d be having, for by your radical generosity you’ve accessed meat.

So, today, increase your giving to God. Give to the poor. Give to those in your family that lack. Give to building churches, and you’ll start seeing all manner of revelation come at you. If you’ve been doing it, double it…

As you do, don’t forsake prayer as a whole. For you need all these working together, for you to have indescribable results.

Dare to give out of your way (of course by God’s leading) more than you’ve never had, and you’ll unlock exceedingly abundant mysteries in the Word, for your own benefit! I’m looking forward to your testimony.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace (grace of revelation) abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency (in it) in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
