On November 8th, I came across this story by Leila Blessings;
“End of last year I was talking to a friend and I told them I was gonna work at a radio station this year. I had no idea how in the world that was gonna happen. December 23rd on a friend’s birthday I tell one of our mutual friends to invite me to one of their shows just to learn how things are done (he works at a radio station too) and boom, he tells me about this Power 104.1 FM apprenticeship competition that was coming soon. Long story short, I applied and came out among the top three finalists.
Shortly after, COVID happened. We sat home. (I, Biggie, if I was in her shoes would probably be thinking well…all things work together…bla bla bla..BUT)
…We were called back for training.
I had or got to have a very gracious and amazing teacher. She taught me so well with much patience, and today I started my radio career with no school qualifications but the Father saw me worthy and aligned the dreams. It’s been bumpy on some days but am very thank for this opportunity.
Thank you Jesus ❤️”
Looking at the post that day, I thought hard through… It took almost a year, I remember the campaigns about voting for Leila. When she didn’t come out on top, I felt like, eh, there goes the dream… And then, there was this plot twist & comeback!
That night, as I mused, looking through the misted windows, I was reminded of King David after being anointed. Guys, it’s one thing for God to give you a dream, and it’s another for that dream to come to fulfilment. It took David 15 whooooole years! 15 from the time he received the news that he’d be king, until the actualization if the kingship…
(Sigh..)
No matter. This story encouraged me. You see, I got a dream about being an author in 2010. Yes, I wrote in those black books. Ink, ink, ink. Tear out the paper, change this and that; every new year since 2016 I’d declare ‘This is my year of publishing’… But nothing ever seemed to manifest…
Well, my 15 ‘David’ years are over I must say. Because ANYTIME NOW…
* * *
So, to anyone out there with a dream, remember no one ever told you how long it’d take! I only pray patience bears as fruit in you as you ‘grind’ on…Yes dreams still do come true, but they may not come true quick!
Nevertheless; that child will still come. You’ll marry one day. You’ll build a mansion on acres of land. You’ll be promoted. You’ll be healed completely… Your number one responsibility is; TO KEEP THAT DREAM ALIVE through the ages as you wait. Hold it the way Smeagol treasured the Lord of the Rings. Protect it, say only positive things about it, until the day it will visibly be touched.
Just imagine if David gave up. What if Mandela threw in the towel? What if Martin Luther King turned away…? I strongly believe that their dreams came to become, firstly because they believed they would! So firstly, believe that yours will come true. That’s faith right there. Believe you can plant 1000 churches… For all things are possible to them that believe!
(Thanks again Leila for sharing)…and Happy Belated Birthday.

This is the most beautiful thing I’ve read. This is the best birthday gift I’ve received. Thank you for taking note of my story and using it to encourage someone ❤️. It means alot

Indeed! And if it seems as delayed you must fight the fight of faith: Believe to see His goodness in the land of the living!
