The Mystery Of Languages

What do you understand when you hear languages? I think languages are more than just tribal. Without them there is no civilization. They aid in communication. They contribute to our cultures. They give us a sense of identity. Let’s explore this a little more though. What makes a Chinese feel like a Chinese?

His or her confidence comes in the fact that he or she can speak Mandarin—right!

Why can someone confidently say he or she is a citizen of Germany? It’s basically because he or she can confidently speak German. The knowing of the traditions and culture comes much later, but language is primary!

Language UNITES! In Genesis 11, we see a story of a people who spoke one language. This led them to building a city and a tower that dared to reach the sky. God later scattered them by giving them different languages causing the incompletion of the tower (of Babel). They became disunited because of language barrier and thus they disbanded the project!

Just like there’s over 100 different languages on the earth, there is a language that comes from Heaven and it is given to one by the Holy Spirit. God is trying to prove the point I already said about the Chinese and Germen; stay with me…

What happens in Uganda here? People ask you what your tribe is. Once you say it, BAM! They corner you and ask you to speak a sample of that tribe’s language. Once you can’t, there is a confidence you lose. Yes, even if you can greet or can try to bemingle English with it. As long as you can’t speak it back, the cycle isn’t complete. You automatically just feel like you don’t belong.

Have you been around Christians who speak in tongues? This is what you are experience; Language barrier! You lose confidence during prayer, and you find yourself getting quiet much quicker while the rest continue simply because all Babel/earthly languages have limits.

Their vocabularies have an end; but not the heavenly language! You can pray in it forever and ever. It is you who usually limits it unlike our earthly languages which limit us instead.

1 Cor 14:2 says “He who speaks in tongues does not speak unto men but unto God! No one understands him but God! However, in the spirit, he speaks mysteries!” Two things are happening here; Talking to God & mysteries being revealed.

Many Christians wonder why their journeys are being stagnant; why their prayer life is a struggle, and why their bibles seem to be ‘boring’. In essence, it is not the bible’s fault. The mysteries one speaks when in tongues leads to revelations for them to be able to understand even books as such as ‘Song of Solomon’.

Deeply know, that the devil understands English or whatever language you are praying in! He’s had 4000 years plus eternity to learn all the languages in the world! In so doing, he can intervene. Let me give an example; (Deep scholars of the word, don’t scourge me for using such a ‘shallow’ one, but it’s all that can help now)

You might desire a range rover and then the enemy hears you ask it. He’ll then, somehow, get a corolla to you and you might think that’s what the Lord could afford! You might walk away thinking God is poor! Or that that was his will; and so you settle for less!

When you speak in tongues; YOU NEVER PRAY AMISS; You always pray for the exact thing God needs you to have for whatever moment for your life!

Still about languages; have you ever been around an entirely different ethnicity who are in deep conversation in their language that you have no idea what they are talking about? Sometimes you ignore them and mind your own business or, you’d be so stressed and perplexed as wondering whether they are talking something fun you’d deeply want to be involved in, or you’d think they are backbiting you.

Now, the devil usually falls in the latter. Can you imagine his face as he tries to sabotage your plans but he can’t understand what you and God are talking about! (Yes, you too might not understand fully but usually while someone prays in tongues, they either receive an image in their mind of what they are praying about or they speak in their earthly language shortly before returning to the heavenly one)

Many use the excuse saying the Holy Spirit gifts those who He wills as we see in 1 Cor 12, but I have studied that chapter long enough to understand that the giving those He wills happens when we meet as a church in one space or when need arises. It doesn’t mean you can’t heal, or give a word of knowledge.

For example; when he says some will receive faith by the same spirit, does that mean you won’t have faith—No! It means that someone will suddenly feel a strong urge to believe for something particularly crazier than the usual crazy.

The enemy has crept into the church and created dogmas and traditions around tongues, so that THOUSANDS would not get it! It must be so important, otherwise the enemy wouldn’t have fought it so much the way he has.

Many say ‘only pastors’ must speak in them. Others think it’s just weird! Of course it must be, but the devil has made them feel the weirdness he feels so that they don’t esteem that gift and desire it!

That weirdness is the language barrier the devil feels and he hates experiencing it! And so what does he do? He rubs it on someone else, so that he doesn’t sink alone! If you’ve fallen victim, I beseech thee to have your eyes opened to the understanding herein. Be freed from the bondage that comes by the ministry of demons!

Others say ‘but this man of God never spoke in them’…That was that person. Are you sure that in your current state you can do what that man or woman did? That’s another deception.

You’ve normalized your not knowing the heavenly language, and you still claim that you’re of Zion. There’s a confidence you lack; just like that person who will say I am a Muganda and yet can’t speak Luganda.

What’s so different about the heavenly language is that you don’t need to learn it unlike babel languages, but need only receive it! After receiving, practice speaking it!

At first, when you receive it, you will think your speaking gibberish, and the devil will tell you that you’re forcing it! Silence him! And just let whatever is boiling within your tongue to burst forth.

Why is this language your native language? It is because by now, I’m sure you know that your body, after death will go six feet under, but your spirit; the actual speaker of the tongues, will return to God. In essence, your culture or tribe NOW wasn’t your true soulish history. Eternity was! Thus, you have to be conversant with your eternal language.

By now, some of you are stirred to receive this amazing gift of your language! SOME OF YOU ARE BEGINNING TO SPEAK IN TONGUES right now. That’s it! The grace is available.

If you haven’t, and are born again, the Holy Spirit, who gives this gift is already in you. Ask of this gift and He shall give it. He can’t give you stones when you ask for bread! If you’re not born again, you have to be first and then this will follow (Jot in the comment sections and I’ll lead you to getting there)

In conclusion: always have Babel’s tower at the end of your mind. That what caused its builders to depart from each other, was language barrier! Which will be your case and the devil!
