What challenge are you going through today? This comes to remind you of something significant in your life. God so loved the world that He gave His only son, Jesus, so that whoever shall believe on Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
Everlasting means lasting forever. There are some things that had to happen in order for us to enjoy everlasting life HAPPILY. Why would someone who’s to live forever enjoy it, with sadness?
The solution was to create some sort of happiness that would be, in fact not mere, but grand, something better than happiness which is joy. For all this to happen, there was one thing that had to happen; THE SWAP.
Our rightful nature as royalty had been fatefully snatched by the enemy that day in the garden of Eden. God had to then, take on our fallen nature in exchange for His. He took on death so that you’d live forever.
He became poor so that you could be rich. He became sick so that you’d be healthy. He merely didn’t become poor. He took on your poverty and gave you His wealth. He merely didn’t fall sick… He bore your griefs, he bore your weaknesses, sorrows & pains, so that you never have to carry them.
He was wounded for your sins, yes. The wrath of God was satisfied, and the punishment we all deserved he chose to suffer for us. This is The Swap ladies and gentlemen.
Next time you feel sick, remind your body saying, ‘You are not accepted here sickness. A man already suffered you on my behalf!’ If poverty or thoughts of the same haunt you, say boldly, ‘He not only became poor, He suffered my poverty on my behalf. You can’t, then attack again.’
This is similar to the punishments we received in primary school. If you’re not familiar with African punishments, here we were caned brusquely for speaking vernacular or for failing exams. If an angel (student-savior) touched someone, they’d come and say ‘Mister Ed, cane me the strokes you’ll have flogged Biggie!’
They’d then receive my share, plus their personal. That is what happened to you through Christ.
He’s the beast that accepted to be bitten by the wolves that tried to eat Beauty. He’s the bait that told poverty and sickness, ‘Consume me instead of Biggie (insert your name).’
Sickness and poverty therefore can’t attack me (you) again. That would be cheating the forces of the universe.
Sadly, many who are ignorant of this truth have fallen victim, making Jesus’ sacrifice in vain. It’s not too late! Rise up and say, ‘Enough is enough. Someone already paid the price. I who was once defeated, can now REIGN over sickness and poverty, for He who knew no sin became sin so that I could be the righteousness of God.’
And hey, righteousness of God is many things but not a temple where poverty or sickness can stay BUT only wealth and riches and every good thing!
