Some Things, Are For Keeping…

Samson… The Avenger who was. He didn’t know hulk. He didn’t know Captain Marvel. Who are these guys to him? They are only but fiction in fact! We all know that real heroes are those written of in legend!

Samson was the strongest man in the world. He carried gates 100 times his weight and killed hundreds using a jaw bone. His strength was in his hair and he’d kept it secret for many years, until a woman, he let to walk into his inner chambers!

She managed to seduce him and cut his hair. There, at that moment, what made him unique and stand out (his signature of purpose) was destroyed! Why? All he did was mention something that was for the keeping!

What are you mentioning that’s not supposed to? Are they dreams? Are you wondering why they seem unachievable? It’s because you’ve told them to unbelievers, or people without faith! Now these are belittling your dream.

There were times when Jesus himself told his disciples not to mention certain things to the masses that were not his disciples. It just occurred to me that such was what He was avoiding.

There’s a time, He healed and asked the victim not make say about it. Study shows that this victim talked about it and now all that the folk wanted, was Jesus’ healing power and not Jesus himself!

Perhaps God, in your secret place told you that so and so is your spouse to-be, and then you mentioned it to someone else who perhaps has the same eye for that particular person! Will you expect him or her to rejoice with you! Of course not!

They’ll fight you in one way or another, until what God said to you is lessened to cheap say…making you forget that He is not a man that He should lie!

Maybe you shared an impossible dream. It’s never been achieved in your family in the last lifetime! Let alone, in your country perhaps! I remember when a relative of mine called me foolish for claiming that I’d publish a book in 2018!

That crushed my spirit. He made my dream seem impossible to grasp. As if out of reach! I don’t mean don’t ever declare the impossible! What I mean is, be careful who’s around when you’re saying those things!

If ye desire to share it, don’t share just with anyone… They may not wish you well. Or they might get jealous. There’s one thing I regret telling many men.

They mocked me on speaking it. They said ‘You cheap christian boys like saying ‘God told me’… As though they mean to say God stopped speaking!

Anyway, I learnt my lesson, and to keep my friendship with God first and others, I’ve asked Him to put a guard and watch over my lips (Psalm 141:3), so that I might not speak in front of he that might cause me to doubt my dreams. If you think I’m joking, ask Joseph!

May God show you how to conceal specific truths until they manifest. Journal them, confide in a few, but don’t let it out to everyone, lest you risk your signature being cut off, just like Samson.
