Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they [are] life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
The other day, I took a stroll around the neighborhood. I had a headache. I found a concealed stream flowing out the ground into a stoned drainage channel. There was something about the sound of the gently gushing waters.
It enthralled me. My ears couldn’t resist, as though there was something beyond what the ear could hear! Still waters, yes! An invisible orchestra played aloud in the background.
Later on, as I returned home, I breathed in this gorgeous sight of a sunset that you see in the picture above. That’s how radiant it was. That picturesque, over the horizon.
The blood red in the sky, burnt my eyes finding its way into my soul! I couldn’t explain it! I couldn’t move. I was, as He once commanded, ‘all still.‘ A supernatural work was in play!
The headache I had VANISHED!
To beat the curfew, I began walking home… I wondered, as I quelled God, ‘What just happened!’
This was His response…
‘Remember Proverbs 4:20-22, I told you to attend to my words…let them not depart from your eyes…for they are health to all your flesh.’
(I nodded in firm agreement)
‘Well, the sun…that you just looked at for a long time, is also a set of my words, for I said, let there be lights in the sky to divide the day and night (Gen 1:14) and the sun became. That’s why it caused health to spring up over upon you, because it’s my word too!’
I was left astounded!
Ever got that nudge to stare at the moon and spy at the stars atwinkle? Ever dared to follow the path of that butterfly? Ever given audience to that humming bird? Ever loved watching the rain? Ever been blown away by the lightning and the thunder?
Ever dreamt of that green on a range of mountains? Ever been keen to that sailing cloud? The flexibility of that fish? A sugar ant racing with a crystal of sugar upon its back? The shimmering green in a pigeon’s pinions?
That’s all God reincarnated implicitly by His words! Allow them to steal your soul for a moment too, for if you apply an uncommon Godly wisdom. . .and revelation, you’ll also witness that each one of them has a prowess to heal!
