Pangs Of A Minister

So God has called you! He instructed you to do something. He told you to begin a church. . .the year is 2006. You have to rent this place at 30000/- but you just want to let go! The ends meet, but they meet in your late!

O the Pangs of a Minister

So you joined to serve on a team at church! It’s raining heavily this Sunday morning, and the road has a deficiency of boda guys. Some are sheltered away from the rain. If they accept to take you, they charge you twice the normal price..

O the Pangs of a Minister

So you are an Elder… You’ve prayed for many to have child. Your line is always the longest, with folk desiring to be prayed for by you. They return after months. They are expecting child they tell you, but you haven’t had one since you got married 7 years ago.

O the Pangs of a Minister

So God awoke you at night. He told you to start up this prayer space & worship space. But you’re the best attendee of those very spaces. Many have much more important engagements than the invitation you sent them to come pray. Was it really God that sent me? You start to ask

O the Pangs of a Minister…

Whatever you do, do it to your best. The numbers are not what God called you to observe! He called you to start that space. He asked you to serve always and not only when it’s shiny.

The pangs are there to keep your eyes on Him. So that you don’t sink. If Jesus hadn’t asked the disciples to go ahead of him, Peter wouldn’t have walked on water…

Does it seem like you boarded one taxi, and he boarded the next one behind? Does it feel like he sent you ahead and stayed behind…leaving you on a mission alone? Lift up your eyes, here he comes, calling you to do something you didn’t know you had in you; walking on the waves.

The Pangs of a Minister!

They are a light affliction. Christ bore the worst for you! He’s the finisher of your faith. If he hasn’t thrown in the towel then that means your story hasn’t began yet. Give it time. Give Him time. Tune your ears to Him. He can’t fail to finish what he began!

The Pangs of a Minister,

Isn’t it ironic? That the word pang means both sorrow and joy of the highest degree whose end is a sharp feeling…

The year is 2019. The rent is no longer 30000/- It’s 1 million per Sunday, but that’s an eighteenth of the giving of the congregation in that venue.

Through the years you multiplied extremely, that you had to construct a 2500 seater auditorium somewhere else, and you don’t have to pay for it. It’s yours! The ends meet and they actually meet before your early!

Yea, the Pangs of a Minister,

Bodabodas are no longer your worry. You were blest with a car years ago, and for the elder that used to pray for barren wombs, He too received a bundle of twins. Just like Abraham received Isaac after blessing Abimelech with children before he ever tasted the boast of how a father walks.

The Joys of a Minister

Only time, you let. The worship space and prayer meetings, are not full yet. Nevertheless, it’s not as sombre as the first meeting you had. Look at what happened; The fire in you increased, revelation doubled, men inquire about the space, women at the gates talk about it! God let you into His mind…

What no eye has seen He has already began to form by you. What no ear has heard He has already placed & graced in your lips. What no mind has imagined, He has revealed to you by His Spirit! Don’t be discouraged. He’s with you all the way!

Doors open unto you. The Windows of Heaven gush with blessings irrevocable! Your wings lift you as they multiply. You witness in all the other parts of the world!

You leave traces of God everywhere you go!

O the Pangs of a Witness…

They understand that before the sufferings, Christ was, and that since with Christ they are One, not only did they receive the benefits of the resurrection power, but also the uttermost patience to endure every suffering that would come with any burden of Ministry.

They also understand that before servanthood, sonship precedes. Jesus understood how much He was loved by the Father. In that space he fully waxed into the full understanding of how glorified he was as a son.

Knowing that His birthright as a son couldn’t be disannuled, whether he became a man, whether he became a Carpenter’s boy, whether he left his Majesty above…this gave him the mindset of a servant…knowing that whatsoever happened to him, it could not faze him or identify with him or put him in a certain box.

O the Pangs of a Servant

They are caused by joy, only if a minister serves with a mindset that he or she is a son of God and not a SLAVE, for a servant is free but still chooses to serve, and a slave is not free and has no other option but to serve against his or her will!

The pangs are a joy, if you trust and obey!

Ecclesiastes 8:2-3 Do what your king commands; you gave a sacred oath of obedience. Don’t worryingly second-guess your orders or try to back out when the task is unpleasant. You’re serving his pleasure, not yours. (Msg)
