Go Up There!

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door [was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard [was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.

Have you ever wondered why during sacrifices and feasts the Israelites used to offer something burnt to God? It’s because then, He was up and out of them unlike the case of today…Where God is seated right inside of us!

Though the case differs, in our efforts to become who God called us to be, we should not expect to carry on the ways of our old lives into this new life where we are born again.

Hither means ‘here’, and thither means ‘there’… When men in the bible were called, God rarely came down to their level. He called them out of the ditch the world had placed them in.

The only time God came down to the level of men is when He sent Jesus to us inform of flesh. I’ve found many Christians who clap their hands when I preach deep stuff. They see what’s finished, but know not what goes on behind the scenes.

Sometimes it can be because they are newly converted… but there’s a price to pay. There are no great men & women of God who skip that price which includes numerous sacrifices made.

It’s inevitable, for those watching to suddenly desire to be as cool as you sound when you’re declaring God’s word, but they want the cool part and not the laboring part.

When prayer meetings are scheduled, countlessly, somehow they do not show up. Asking them to read a certain book to catalyze their spiritual growth is also a hard task…and somehow they think they’ll attain the next level…

‘It’s hard to wake up early to read the bible…’ ‘The book you sent is too big.’ ‘My body is generally weak, that’s why I easily fall sick…’

That simply won’t work child! Brace yourself and get ready to do some new things that’ll stretch you if you indeed want to experience God a whole other way! We all have muscles, but those who work them regularly have theirs bulge and the beholders also desire their biceps to pop…but do not want the gym practicals

Today we have scenarios where you find a convert one year into salvation and there are tremendous signs showing that the Word is actually working in his or her life…. And you find one who claims to know the Lord for over 10 years…and their life is simply powerless with no fruit to show!

The convert who’s new into salvation chose to accept the invitation to go up there, where The Lord is. That one chose to get out of his or her comfort zone, grabbed every Christian literature, listened to all sermons their ears could land on, lost a little sleep, found appetizers that stirred hunger for the gospel… And their life changed 360°.

If the Bible also states that your laying of hands can heal the sick, and you happen to fall sick, lay hands upon yourself… That’s going up there. If it states that the power of life and death lie in your tongue, then refuse to say anything that’s related to death. That’s going up there.

The apostles prayed for 3 hours, preached for 3 minutes and 3000 men got born again. Today men pray for 3 minutes, preach for 3 hours and throw tantrums when not a single soul comes to the Lord.

They are dodging to pay the price. I’m not saying one can suddenly access higher spiritual spiritual levels. I’m saying, if you want those high levels, it’s going to be a little extra input from you. More prayer, more fellowships, more bible reading etc.

In all this, The Holy Spirit is there to help and lighten the load for you! So don’t worry! Launch deeper!
