Why Submission?

Psalms 133:2-3 [It is] like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, [even] Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion. Yes, that’s where GOD commands the blessing, ordains eternal life.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the question where men ask ‘Are you submitted?’ This is the lesson The Lord taught me concerning submission!

Just as our theme scripture states,When Aaron was anointed, the oil flowed down to his beard then to the skirts of his garments. Aaron represents figures and ministers the Lord places before us.

These can be our pastors, prophets, evangelists, apostles and teachers! These can be our worship leaders, discipleship leaders, cell leaders etc.

First let’s not give in to the pressure of others, who force us into submitting to the people they’ve been led to submit to.

It’s God to show you who to submit to, and it comes by intuition or revelation for it’s Him who’s the author & finisher of your faith.

One of the signs that show that that’s the God sent person is, you’ll find yourself open to that person, and receptive to all He or She says. He or she will be a person of peace towards you!

Thus, unless God tells you to submit, don’t claim to be submitted unto them.

Submission is the act of recognizing a person as one that God has placed in your path to help you on your spiritual growth!

Those have a right to speak into your life, and their opinion tends to matter much, especially now that we’ve learnt that they are God ordained. If you claim to be submitted to someone, but there’s tension around you and that person, ALWAYS, then that couldn’t have been God’s choice for you!

Now back to our topic. From the theme scripture, we discover that we are the garments under these people that we are submitted to. Whatever God anoints them with, flows as well to you. When God anoints them with the oil of gladness, it flows onto you.

When God increases their greatness, you have a portion in it! When they walk into new realms, you have an opportunity to walk in behind them. So I hope you see the significance of this!

Let me sign out with one more example. The Church is Christ’s bride. And Paul advises wives to submit to their husbands! If we submit to Christ, imagine the possibilities. As He is so are we sums it all.

When God says, ‘Jesus, I’ve raised you to the highest place far above all principalities..’ We too receive a lot in this blessing! When God calls Jesus His heir, and anoints Him King, His oil flows unto us (for we are the body and He’s the head) and we too become Co-Heirs!

This is Good News. Submit and receive from those God wants you to receive from. When they increase in revelation, you too do. For that dispensation becomes available for you as well.

Submit to that elder. Submit to that ordained priest that God sent ahead of you. And this doesn’t mean you won’t be submitted to God any longer…No! It means, you learn quicker, and avoid doing mistakes as far as your Christian life & spiritual growth is concerned.

If you haven’t understood much, for now, Fully submit to Christ. He’ll clarify this topic to you!

Hope you grasped the moral… that you’re able to walk in the anointings of great men of God when you’ve submitted to those that God leads you to!

Shalom.
