“For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21
If I had never tasted the power of God’s word, this verse made me taste it by force! The evil one, many times, has tried to get me off guard, or red handed.
The other week I was in the dispensation of giving. I had agreed to be so generous…and then my little sister tried to take advantage of one of my material possessions.
I exaggerated and yelled at her thinking she had taken much of it just to waste it…but then I realized, she had taken just enough! But I had already yelled at her all in all, and the evil one whispered superciliously “Hehe, and you call yourself a giver!”
I do not know where the voice came from but I’m sure I heard someone say
“I’m also the Righteousness of God!”
Wow!
The way the devil was silenced. I’m sure he’s still hiding till today. He had tried to put me down, but the word fired back. Do you feel mean sometimes? Do you feel selfish? Rude? Angered? Bitter? Unforgiving or falling short?
During these moments is the best time to declare out loud that you are the righteousness of God! It might not be your fault, it’d be someone caused you to fly off the handle.
It might not be intentional that you found yourself angry at a loved one or selfish. When the devil tries to use the shortcoming against you, declare loudly that You are the righteousness of God! That’ll silence all condemning voices of the enemy. And you’ll triumph!
