“Accordingly, God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the (immutability) unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath. This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us].” Hebrews 6:17-18 (AMP)
The word immutable means ‘unable to be changed without exception,’ or in (programming) not able to be altered in the memory after its value is set initially (for example; constants are immutable).
Gravity is a constant. In Physics, its velocity which is 9.8ms(-1) and it can never change. Even the speed of light according to physics won’t change, and just like those won’t, there are some things you must know that will never change!
God’s love for you will never change. It will not be altered, or stopped or diverted away. It’ll always be present to you. His promises are constants.
“I’ll never leave you nor forsake ye. I will not fail thee. Blessing, I’ll bless you and multiplying I will multiply you…
God is not a man to lie and so for his promises toward you He swore an oath. He vowed never to leave you. Men swear but never keep their promises, but God isn’t like that!
Take him at His word. His word is full of immutables. Things forever for you that’ll never change! Dig them up and hide them in your heart. Search for all things that He promised you and forget not that He swore to bring them to pass!
And remember also the two immutables as in the given scripture. First the oath (that He swore), then the promise (What He said to you in His word). Every word to you, he swore never to break!
