If I say pray without ceasing, If I say do not worry about a thing, If I say do not fear a thing, If I say love your neighbor as you, And ye do it, then ye love me.
If I say you are my righteousness, If I say you are the apple of my eye, If I say you are the one in whom I delight in, If I say kings shall come to thine rising, And ye doubt it not, then ye love me.
If I say I’ll maintain your lot, If I say I am your Shepherd, If I say I’ll give you an Isaac, If I say I’ll prepare a table for you, And ye don’t help me to prove it, ye love me.
If I say ye are the head and not the tail, If I say thou art fair with dove’s eyes, If I say your sins I remember no more, If I say I’ve loved thee with an everlasting love, And ye believe me, then ye love me.
If I call ye perfect and a joy to look at, If I call ye to tithe and give thine first fruit, If I call ye to still waters and green pastures, If I summon thee beyond the veil, And ye respond to my call, then ye love me.
If I’ve commanded my blessings to befall thee, If I’ve commanded goodness and mercy, If I’ve commanded angels to watch over you, If I’ve commanded all that you do to always prosper, And ye shut them not out of your heart, then ye love me.
For to keep my commandments, Like the word keep means, To uphold and maintain each one of them, To declare, to affirm, and to assert That they are true.
Only then, and only then, Will you have the courage to say, That you love me back!
Lots of Love, Daddy
a.k.a God.
