Have you ever just wanted to get away. Have you ever wanted to sleep forever? Just to run away from something earthly…say a problem?
Well, I have! But it hit me years back that my life isn’t a fairy tale like Sleeping Beauty’s. It’s LIFE! And we all have one to live but we exist in two dimensions: The Earthly and the Spiritual!
Men are perishing because of lack of knowledge! (Hosea 4:6) They think death is an end, and yet it’s just but a gateway to the other dimension, or better yet, an answered prayer to the separation of the soul from the flesh!
Allow me to share with you this… I have always studied with classmates older than me. That meant I was on time for my growth characteristics, but in the class, I was far behind!
It was like realizing something in third year second semester that people had discovered in first year first semester.(Forexample I never really understood what a wet dream was and yet boys kept joking about it! It was taught in class but never having experienced it…naturally, one gets concerned. It showed up 6 years later since I’d first heard of it! To me it was news, to the rest it was bygones!)
Desperation… Desire… and longing are surely experienced by all humans I deem! But is it worth it? Still in school, we had boys 1 or 2 or 3 years older than I was. They had beards already…(Still, I have none yet) And the girls of the class seemed drawn to them! And I felt like a germ—Invisible!
Some boys had ‘the bodies’…Six feet five, light skinned, white eyed, salacious smiles, and all I had, was a face wholly immersed & drowned & baptized in pimples!
I desired smooth skin and fair countenance. Well, I spoke it and it became!
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
It’s 7 years later, and my skin is as smooth as clear glass! I had whatever I said! You too can! Just do not doubt! The issue is; I spoke fairness over my face and now I’m trying much to avoid the girls!
Envy tries to show up howbeit… The other day, I felt like having the body of an anonymous man. Muscular and stuff! Veins popping and fibres flexed! The issue with the flesh is, it wants what it wants. It wants what it sees and loves!
But bring me that man that I envied 60 years from now, I’m sure I’ll be much better looking (because of my being more tuned to The Spirit than the flesh) and by then he’ll be flabby and wrinkled!
This gives you an idea that feelings are fleeting! (That’s why I highly do not advise men & women to fall in love basing on feelings! They are constantly metamorphosing! Find a spouse basing on a deeper foundation & not because you think you love them, there’s a big difference between love and like…And it’s not a thin line in this case!
If you have no foundation, you’re reading about one now; Let God in.
Sophia (Greek word for wisdom) once asked me, ‘Will you have the same aesthetic—six abs—chest ripped body at 70?’ You see, bodies wear out (though strength might not) Yes the bible says in Psalms 103:5 …Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
But that may not apply to a non believer who’ll lack the knowledge that this body is here today and gone tomorrow! I’m not saying ‘Do not care for it!’ No–! Exercises are good…in fact its even scriptural…1 Timothy 4:7-8 Stay clear of silly stories that get dressed up as religion. Exercise daily in God–no spiritual flabbiness, please! Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever.(Msg)
If exercising diligently brings about results, how about exercising God’s principles! The bible says in other versions that it’s both profiting to the body and the soul.
Concentrate as well on you…who’ll LIVE forever! You’re eternal! The body is but a cloth! If you’re both exercising and disciplining yourself in God, you’re so on track! But if you’re just prospering your flesh’s health alone, and not your spirit…I’m guessing it’ll be the most malnourished thing you’ve ever seen in eternity!
Avoid that scenario 60 or 70 or 80 or a few years from now!…Jesus came that you might have life (good health) & life abundantly (eternal life)[John 10:10] Enjoy all earthly things, but do not give yourselves wholly to them! Or sell your soul to them!
Do not find your ultimate peace, your joy, OR PURPOSE in them. Do not make them define you! I’ve heard of men who drink to find calmness, but when you drink, you do not quench the thirst of your spirit! Others are satiated by sex…but sex doesn’t touch the soul.
The only one worth your all-in-all delight is God, for He can touch your soul! Buy rich cars, latest gadgets…buy them all & enjoy them! For in Heaven they won’t be there! (Plus…when they were being invented, God had you in mind to enjoy them) Rather, do not place your hearts upon them. Do not make them idols, for, they can’t satisfy your soul nor buy you eternal life!
All I’m saying is… You’ll find great peace when you know how you’re life will be 200 years from now! That’s real satisfaction! You’ll still be alive yes…for you’re boundless, infinite, timeless, immortal and everlasting!
Question is; Where will you be!
If you’re already sure, that’s amazing!!If you’re not, believe this as you pray it aloud,Lord Jesus I accept you in my life as my Lord and savior! Thanks for purchasing the good life for me and today I choose to live it!(Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.)
And if you are not sure where you’ll be…and have not believed or said that prayer, I hope you picked something from this and I pray you know now that all things of the world are fleeting and mortal! And are not worth your all in all;You are not just human! For You minus that body is ____________ (answer that)I’ll pray light cometh your way and that you are not just threatened to believe, but also know that Eternal life starts once you say that prayer, and unless you say it, your spirit is still lost in the Spiritual dimension, surrounded by darkness and uncertainty of the future!It wouldn’t hurt starting today, to prepare for eternity! One truth still remains, you’ll never close your eyes ever—again—forever!
